Hello Seniors, Please advice. I know this point has been raised earlier but need a updated answer for 2018

I was in US from Jan 2006 till Jan 2013. During the time, I visited my home country India twice: once in 2008 and then again in 2010, both time for 2 months each. During each visit, I was paying rent in US and after coming back, I rejoined the same school.

  1. Firstly, do I have to mention the travels between country of residence (US) and country of origin (India)? If yes, then basically I must use the dates as stamped in my old passport, correct?
  2. Do I provide address for my home in India for the period I was in India? As in Jan 2006 - July 2008 US, July 2008 - Sept 2008 India, Sept 2008 till July 2010 US?
  3. Do I need to state vacation on a separate line in Personal History? As in Jan 2006 - July 2008 Education, July 2008 - Sept 2008 Vacation, Sept 2008 - Decem 2008 Education?
  4. Do I have to mention addresses from 2006? In my personal history, 2006 till 2011 is listed as education which is flowing in from Education History. Do I have to provide address history to match education history? Since 2006 is more than 10 years, I am not sure about this, but I worry of the consequence if address history does not tie with personal history. Second issue is, I am unable to recall all the details of the apartments I stayed at during 2006 till 2008.
  5. Will addresses from Jan 2008 till August 2018 suffice for 10 year requirement?
Please advise. Point by point answers will be appreciated.

Hi,

1) Are you sure we need to mention all the travels between origin country and country of resident?? CIC mentioned that we can ignore that.

2) do I need to include the address while on vacation, even though the vacation is for a month and place is my origin country ?

1. You don't have to show all travels between country of origin and country of residence. But you have show in travel history when you first travelled from homw country to country of residence and when you last returned. In LOE you can explain that in between you took trips between these two countries.

2. No you need not include addresses while on vacation. Just name of the city, country is enough.
