Travel outside canada while pr file in process

Hello Folks,
I applied for pr in october and waiting for my PPR, now i have to travel backhome due to emergency. I am currently on workpwrmit till next year Jan.
My question is do i need to provide new pcc when i come back after a month?
Is there any new rule for workpermit holders to visit abroad? I currently hold valid visa

Hi

If visa and work permit are valid u can go and come back. Make sure u cary ur pay stubs and employment contract and may be bank statements while coming back.

In case they ask u

U dont need to give new pcc if ur are going to stay less than 6 months.

But once ur back do update cic for ur trip in and out

Thanks. I am just planning to go back for 1 month right now. So hopefully i dont need to get updated pcc

It should not be an issue if you travel once you have submitted your PR application (which it seems you have). You do not need the new PCC.
I travelled to US on my work permit couple of times after receiving the ITA and had no issues.

You just need your valid visa and the work permit to enter back to Canada.

I have already received my PR so I can confirm all this.

yes I do have valid visa and work permit till Jan 2017.

Hi Malik87,
Hope your processing went well.
I applied through CEC Express entry. Now I am waiting for my Mexico Police certificate and in the meantime, I want to go to India for a break.
I have my work permit valid until Oct-2021. I saw in your text "Valid visa" Is that the one stamped in my passport? If yes, my visa is expired. Should I have to apply for a new visa before I travel to India or my new work permit is enough? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
