Hello everyone,

After receiving ITA, I am required to add travel history and the question states:

'Provide details of any trips taken outside your country of origin or of residence in the last 10 years'

I currently reside in UAE and have been here for over 15 years. I have visited USA and the Netherlands as well as my country of origin, India in the last 10 years.

Which countries do I need add to my travel history?

Only USA and the Netherlands?

Or USA, the Netherlands and India?

Personally I would interpret it as adding India as well since the question states 'OR' instead of 'AND'.

Please tell me what do you guys think? Really appreciate your inputs.

Thank you!

I just put everywhere I was physically, the travel history section has a column to state your status in that country, like "Citizen", "Tourist"... for India you could just say "Citizen". Let CIC use whatever part of the information, atleast you'll have peace of mind that they have all the info they need.

Hi. I have a couple of questions about filling in travel history:
1) Do I have to include transfers? (I was travelling from Europe to Australia and back so i transferred in 4 other countries but did not leave the airports during the transfers)
2) What dates should I be putting - when I left my country and came back OR when I entered my destination country and left it. (In case of Australia visit, I left my country on 12th of march and landed in Australia on 14th, similar situation when coming back)

1. No.
2. Dates you entered and left the destination country. Good luck!

Hi everyone,
I also have a question regarding travel history.
I have traveled a lot in last 10 years and I have problem finding all the exact dates of my travels. Is it a problem if you omit (of course, not on purpose) some of your travels or give wrong date (if you cannot remember the exact date and cannot find the stamp in your passport)?
Thanks!

Omitting any information from your application (whether on purpose or not) is considered misrepresentation and the consequences are refusal plus 5 year ban from entering Canada. What you can do is to do your best to estimate these dates that you are not sure about. You can use passport stamps, timestamps of photos you may have from these trips, social media posts, ask a friend who was with you, etc. You also will have to include an explanation letter to explain the situation and clearly indicate which trips you think your estimate may be not accurate. In this case, you will be on the safe side and avoid committing misrepresentation. Good Luck!

hi guys,

I am currently residing outside my home country for around 2 years. I have traveled for official reasons in these past 2 years and also I have traveled back to my home country as well.

Further, before my transfer from home country to new resident country; I have never traveled internationally

In travel history, I have listed all my travel from home country to my country of residence and from country of residence to all business trip locations.

In this history, I have mentioned my back home trip to country of origin as travel as well.

so, is it Ok or I need to omit my travel between home country and country of residence ?

Regards,
Imran

You are asked to provide details of any trips taken outside your country of origin or of residence. So, yes you can omit these trips (which I recommend), however, there will be no harm if you leave them. Good Luck!

Thank you I will give my best!
It is also helpful to know that I can include supporting letter for those dates that I am not 100% sure, as you said just to be safe.

Hi,

I am currently residing in Canada. I worked for my employer in US for 6 years and used to travel to India (country of origin) for vacation.

1. Do I have to mention my initial travel to US for work?
2. Do I have to list my vacation travel from US to India?
