My situation: currently like in USA (country of residence for 5+ years); but have an Indian passport (country of origin: India). I have taken trips to India almost ever year; but haven't been outside of USA or India. Should I respond No to the following question?

Provide details of any trips XXX has taken outside his/her country of origin or of residence in the last ten years

Or do I respond as Yes and provide details of the trips I took to India and then back to USA.

Yes you have to mention trips you took to India, with address where you stayed and how long you stayed.

AFAIK, you don't have to mention trips between country of origin and country of residence.

Keep USA as your reference country and trip taken outside US shall be part of your history.

--- taken trip outside -- yes
--- june 15 2012 to july 15 2012 -- country of visit India, purpose vacation.
-- june 15 2013 to july 15 2013 -- country of visit India, purpose vacation.
-- june 15 2014 to july 15 2014 -- country of visit India, purpose vacation.

They know between these times you were somewhere, which is your current country of residence.

It's only of those catchy questions. I think to be on the safe side, I'll mention the trips I took to India. Does not hurt...

I know, there are different opinions here about the question.
But mentioning trips in your application won't affect you negatively, so it's always good idea to give them info instead of them finding out and making big deal out of it.
You know immigration condition right now, don't you ? ;D ;D
