Hi,

I used to visit Europe on schengen visa and would travel different countries of Europe. When you travel within the schengen countries they don't put any exit or entry stamp on your passport and treat the flights as domestic flights. They only put entry stamp when you enter schengen area from non schengen country or you exit schengen area to non schengen country. In my case I used to entey from France and exit from France as well. So do I need to tell about all the schengen countries which I visited like Italy, Spain, Switzerland even through there's no entry exit stamp from these countries on my passport or Do I have to tell CIC about every country I visited even though if the entry exit stamp is on passport or not.

I was a student in England but would travel to Scotland as well. People who have UK visa don't need visa to travel to Scotland and there's no passport checks when you travel from England to Scotland so Do i need to tell about Scotland as well while telling about travel history?

Scotland is part of the UK , Like New York part of the USA , or Ontario part of Canada , you don't report every state you visited in one Country .

Scotland is a country within UK. There're 4 countries in the UK. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It's not a state.

If you don't list the information upfront, CIC can (and probably will) ask you for more information during the process. This will undoubtedly mean a delay.

Or...they could refuse the application based on misrepresentation of facts.

IMO, just include as much detailed information as possible, along with a separate sheet of paper explaining things.

I agree with Ponga and would be as specific as possible. The UK is a weird case as while Scotland, Northern Ireland, England, and Wales are technically countries, together they form a sovereign state. Still, I'd be specific and name them individually. Don't think of it in terms of what CIC can check up on. Think of it in terms of what is true.

You have to tell CIC about every country you visited, even if you have no entry or exit stamp from a country. For Scotland and England, you could just put 'the United Kingdom'. You could also put England and Scotland; I would not just put England, though.

there is no option to “just put the UK”. You don’t even have this option in drop down list of countries. Only England, Northern Ireland etc
