Question regarding the travel history form (IMM 5562) -

I'm originally German and currently residing in Canada on a work permit. For a few years, I also lived and worked in the US and traveled from there to other places. In my address history, I've listed that time in the US. When entering my travels from the US to other countries in the travel form, should I also be putting in the time in the US in between, with 'Work' as the reason for travel (e.g. US - Work - Duration:1.5 years)? Or does that time not count as "travel" since it was my country of residence at the time?

Basically when it says "outside of your country of origin or of your residence", does it mean "country of current residence" or "country of then-residence"?

It means country of current residence
You need to list all trips to and from the US since it's no longer your country of residence.

Good to know, thanks for the answer! As a follow-up, I'm guessing these need to be entered chronologically/without gaps?

So say I wouldn't be able to do 'US - Work - 4 years' as a one-line and then the shorter trips outside of the US that happened in between, but rather would need to split it all those 4 years up into several lines with the in-between travels?
