Travel document (permanent resident abroad) question?

When applying for travel document (permanent resident abroad) do we need to submit Original Passport with it? Or can I just do photo copies ?

Anyone from India knows how many days it takes for it?

Is there a faster service available? like going personally to Delhi/Chandigarh Visa office and get it down?

It needs to be the original passport. They've already seen photocopies of your passport in the original application.

There are plenty of other posts from Indian's on the forum asking the same as you. Do some searching and if you don't find what you need, simply give the CIC a call and ask them.
