Travel Document or Entry from US Border- Urgent Advice requested-

Guys, your advice is helping lots of people and thanks in advance for being so helpful. My situation is that me and my family have expired PR cards (expired in 2015) and we do not meet the residency obligation of staying 2 years in Canada. Now we want to return to Canada. I know this can be done either by applying for a travel document or directly enter Canada through the US Border (assuming you have a US Visit visa). Request your advice on what are the pros and cons of each option and which one should be chosen. If travel document gets rejected, is there any implication on the other option of entering from US Border? Kindly help me as i need to plan the move urgently. Thanks

What are your reasons for failing to meet RO? This will determine if applying for a TD is a good idea or not.

The reason is my kids being too young could not adjust to the new environment. Now that they have matured and have adjusted well in an international environmnet in Dubai we wish to return. If I apply for a travel document and it gets declined, would i still be able to try my luck entering from the US border. Please help me make the right decision.

You don't have much of a choice. If you try to get a TD, your application will be refused and your PR will likely be revoked for breach of the residency obligation.

You can try to enter via the U.S., but there is no guarantee that you won't be reported for breach of your residency obligations.
