Travel Document and Secondary Review

Hello,

When your PR renewal is under secondary review, does that effect your chances of getting a travel document on time.

The cic call centre agent said they are 2 different departments
but the MP's office I visited today said yes, they will not issue a PRTD until your secondary review is completed.

Any comments???

This is really worrying. Which version should one believe? CIC Agent or MP's office? Better to check with VAC directly before leaving the country?

Just spoke to CIC Agent just now. He confirmed the information of Secondary Review and PRTD is absolutely FALSE. So, no worries on that. Already written to VFS as well about this concern. Do not want to get stuck after the travel.

If you really don't want to get stuck, then get a US visa such that you can enter Canada by foot or non-commercial vehicle!
