Travel Consent Letter - help please

Hello, I am planning to travel to US with my baby who is 3 months old ... We will be visiting my husband who lives in the states. I understand that I need a travel consent letter from the other parent ...will it be okay if my husband mails the signed letter to me? I mean I am going to go and visit him .. so I dont know how to go about this. I hope I am making sense ... please help! thank you!
