So, my landing interview has been scheduled (yay!) for December 3. I applied under the family class, being sponsored by my common law spouse. I am going to travel to the USA with my common law spouse to visit my family for American thanksgiving, and we arrive back in Canada literally 3 days before my landing interview. Is this going to be an issue? Thanks in advance for any input/advice!

Should not be any issue. However that said, the risk, however small, is there that you could get denied re-entry into Canada. That is something you have to make a decision on. Once if that happens, your PR application will get denied, regardless of how close to the finish line you are. Since your landing interview is 3 days after you leave US, is there any reason why you can't delay the US visit until after you land? You can bring your COPR with you to US (just don't lose it), and show it at the Canadian border when you return.

Thanks for the input. I’d rather not reschedule, as everyone has already booked time off work to spend time with me and my boyfriend while I’m in the US, but we’ll see. I’m not too worried about getting denied entry because I do have a work permit that’s good until fall of 2021, though I know it is not a guarantee.
