Travel back to UK

I've seen lots of questions about what happens once you have PR but I'm still confused. I have submitted all of my docs at the end of last month. I have to go back to the UK next June and have seen it mentioned that once you get PR, I would need to send off my passport to get it stamped. Then I need to request my travel card which can take a couple of months. I'm hoping to book my flights in a couple of weeks so want to check on a few things.
My questions are
1)If I am inland, will I send my passport to Ottawa or will it be back to the UK as it is a UK passport?
2) I have a wedding in June in the UK that I need to book flights for. I'm assuming it may take the full 6 months for PR just to be on the safe side. What do I do if a) I do not have PR approved by then but it is in the concluding stages? Do I need to request another police report for that trip even if they have already started my application? b)If I have PR approved but no travel card(I'm not even sure if that's what it's called?!)will I be permitted to leave Canada and reenter 10 days later? I've read some people have been flying back to the US and coming over the land border?? That is possible but not ideal so I would want to be sure before taking any steps like that.

I have a working holiday visa until 9th September next year. As soon as I get PR, does that supercede my eligibility or could I re-enter on that visa?

1 - Ottawa but if you are from a visa exempt country you need only send photocopies of your passport.
2a - You would not need another PCC.
2b - Assuming your COPR is still valid you could finish the landing procedure once you come back from your trip. Those who fly to the States and enter Canada via private vehicle do so as they have already completed their landing procedure and do not have their PR card yet.

Thanks for your quick reply and what a relief!

How long is COPR valid for? So really, as long as COPR is still valid, my best option is to fly back from the UK and complete it on landing and then send off for PR card after that which can take 2-3 months?

My other stumbling block is that I am looking to purchase a property as soon as possible in Vancouver where the prices are going up and up and up. Currently, I would have to pay a foreign buyers tax. Assuming there was a quick turnaround and I got COPR in say April time, how long does it take after landing to get the PR card?

If I completed COPR and sent off for PR card but didn't receive it back, are there any options for flying back in to Canada at all or do I have to fly back to the States?

Usually it is valid for a year from the date of your medicals. That being said that is not always the case as when I received my COPR my medicals had already expired and I was still given a year to finish the landing procedure. Yes, If I were you I would finish the landing once you come back from the UK.

It takes about 6 to 8 weeks to get the PR card but remember that once you have completed the landing procedure you are a permanent resident even if you do not have your PR card with you yet. You should do research as to whether you can avoid this tax without the PR card in hand.

You could apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD) to land in Canada without the PR card once you are in the UK but I would check the processing times for such document as you might be stuck in the UK in the likely (very likely) event that you do not get in before your flight back to Canada.
