Transparency in TRV processing

Hi,
I want to share a story regarding TRV refusal. I submitted an online application for Canadian TRV.it got refused. The reason raised was:
1. employment prospects
2. travel history
I have a valid visa for usa. i have been issued uk visas twice in the past. i uploaded the travel history of past seven years which shows me visiting ksa and uae almost every year. i could not upload the travel history of visiting usa in 2009 because my previous passports were not on me.
this was first time i was applying for a canadian visa in visit category.
five more applicatiins were submitted by my elder brother for himself and his children / spouse. he was applying for a canada visa second time. he and his family have had valid visas for canada in the past.
he and his family members have been to canada once and to usa almost every year.
we both share the same business and uploaded exactly the same business registration documents. documents show both names clearly as directors.
my elder brother's application got approved.
i have certain questions:
why was the point of employment prospects not raised for my elder brother?
both the applications were developed on exactly the same pattern.
the only differences were that of basic travel documents and forms.
i assume VO has just assumed the point of employment prospects to solidify his reasoning for refusal based on travel history.
is it mandatory to visit usa, uk and canada to have a travel history which could satisfactory the VO that one would leave at the end of his/her visit?
what should i do now?
as per cic website, VO asks for additional docs if need arises. if my travel history had been insignifact, he could have asked for more of it. unfortunately, i have travelled more in the past for which i could not upload the stamps as i had misplaced my previous passports. i did not even think it important because cic site does not tell any such req.
my elder brother has a valid visa for uk as well.
if i keep travel history aside, how could VO raise the point of employment prospects for my application only.
any thoughts giving deeper insights are welcome.

For temporary visas like visitor visas, CIC does not request additional documents - you have to include everything with your original application. If you have additional travel history to show, make sure you include that when you reapply.

Your brother has held a Canadian TRV in the past. This completely changes how CIC would have evaluated his application vs. you who was applying for the first time.

but is not it discrimination itself?
there are a number of people who got their canada trvs refused even though they have had canada trvs in the past. i know such a case for uk as well.
the question is not the travel history.
the question is how could the VO come up with the employment prospects point for just one applicant although both the applicants had uploaded the same business docs/bank statements.

As scylla has mentioned, a previous visit to Canada convinced IRCC that your brother is a short-term visitor. This is further strengthened by the fact that he and his family visit the US every year (and return home after short visits).


For the employment refusal reason:
1. Even though you and your brother are directors, did your documents state the percentage you own in the business and the value of your share?

2. Are you allowed to use business income for a private visit? This would be evident from the business registration/partnership documents.

3. If both you and your brother intended to visit at the same time, did you explain who will manage your business temporarily in your absence?

4. Do you earn a salary or is it profit-sharing? For either case, did you include evidence of this through your bank statements (both business and personal bank statements) + an explanation?

5. Did you prove your individual responsibilities in your business? Are these the same as what your brother manages?


For the travel history refusal reason:
1. Did you prepare a Travel History explanation/fill the Travel History form stating visa details + entry/exit dates + purpose of each visit (for the last 10 years)

2. Travel to KSA and UAE would not count as those countries are liberal in issuing visas

i totally accept my negligence in filling out the travel history/schedule 1 form. the form was optional in online application. i did not even upload it. all they asked for necessarily were the travel stamps scamned from passports which i uploaded for the past seven years showing expired and valid usa and uk visas and travel stamps.
for business registration, all the points except 3 were elaborated.
We applied the same day but never mentioned that we wanted to travel on same dates or even together. me and he developed separate applications using separate credentials(passwords etc) for which we shared details with each other.
