So I want to sponsor my partner of 3 years to come to Canada. We live in Belgium right now and a lot of our documents are in Dutch. From what I have read, CIC doesnt want to you do the translations yourself, however my partner is actually a certified translator in Belgium. So I am wondering if she can do the translation of documents herself? This would save us a ton of money!

Cheers

Hi,
You need TRUE translation of all those documents which are other than English/French. Yes, you can't do it by yourself but true translation means govt authorized grade stamps.. i think.
