Hi guys,

I've read a few threads regarding translating documents when not living in Canada but I would still like to hear the peeps consensus on this question.

1 - As you are all aware a translation and an affidavit of the translation is needed.

2 - My question is regarding certified copies, are you guys going to send certified copies of the original documents or just the original documents without being certified?

Cheers :)

Hi there, I noticed you got your PR! Congratulations. Could you please advise on the translation of PCC?

I translated my PCC with a certified translator here in Canada and I brought him an original document. Here is what I uploaded:

1) Original document (colour scan).
2) Translation with his stamp and stating "this is true, accurate translation etc." + he mentioned that "Original attached" (all on the same page)
3) LOE explaining that I'm not attaching affidavit as certified translator did my translation + his contact details and membership details as well

Would that be sufficient?

*My translator also stamped the original PCC (not copy) on the back with his stamp, but I did not upload that. It' the back of the page so it's not very clear what it is stamped on and might confuse the officer. Plus, I was very hesitant if he can even stamp the original PCC.

Or should I raise the webform and attach that stamp on the back of the original?

Would appreciate your advice. thank you!
