Hello,

So my husband was provided with English copies of his documents (as well as the Korean originals) from the Korean government office in his hometown. They are simply English copies of the Korean docs, not translations... so they do not contain any affidavit nor were they translated by someone in good standing with a provincial organization of translators. My thinking was that they should suffice because they were given to us by the Korean government office... but the wording on the CIC site is so tricky. Will this satisfy the translation requirements for the docs for sponsorship, or would I still need to go through the process according to the CIC website? TIA!

If they are issued by government in english and are exact same to korean ones and contain all the things that are on Korean ones than no need to go for translation.Just attach photocopies of these issued documents along.
