translation of Birth certificate - Original or copy can be sent

Hi,

i have a couple of questions, while i'm preparing documents-

1) Do we need to send translation attested by translator? or a certified copy of the translation will suffice?
2) In the absence of a birth certificate, will an affidavit mentioning my DoB on a non-judicial stamp paper suffice?

1) I sent notarize copy of original birth certificate and also notarize copy of birth certificate translation copy.

2) if you do not have birth certificate then you can send affidavit of
judicial stamp paper. but non-judicial stamp paper won't work. Even I don't know if they will accept court affidavit for Birth certificate. if possible , you can definitely get it from the municipal corporation of the city where you were born. they probably have than 50 years of data.

u need to send birth cerificate in englsih translation, and attested by notary public

I recommend as the other to sent notarized translated copy instead of the originals is stayed in the papers send by the embassy.

thanks for ur replies guys. i dont have any connections in the tiwn i was born in any more.it'll b tough getting from there. guess,i'll stick to the affidavit. maybe, i'll write an explanation

I am in the same situation. I have been to the country I was born in only once as a kid as well.
I have always been using an "AFFIDAVIT" sworn to by my parents all my life and this has never been challenged.

So go for it.
