Hi all!

I have a job reference letter from my employer which is completely in English except for the seal which has some words in my local language.
Do I need to bother with sending the whole document to a certified Canadian translator just because of that seal? Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Relax! No need.

If you want to be 100% sure, then you should probably go the translation route.

Personally, I would be comfortable with a small risk here - provided everything else in the reference letter is exactly as per the requirements.

I don't think CIC would reject the application because of an untranslated seal, especially because they can just call your employer to verify it.

That said, I have never heard or read about such a case, so what I'm saying is based on logic and reason, not personal experience.
