I have flight from Toronto to India and there is a 10 hour layover in Frankfurt, Germany. Well, I have a Canada student visa. So, do i need a transit visa for Germany?

I believe you will need transit visa if you are planning to get out of the airport. If staying at the airport, your boarding pass and passport should be enough to proof you are connecting. otherwise check the requirement for transit visa between your country and Germany.
