I planned to transit in canada on my way from hongkong to mexico and on my way back from mexico to hongkong. therefore i need a visa which allow 2 entry into canada. My problem is that the transit visa stated that i can only have 1 entry. I need advise on should i reapply for another transit visa for the 2nd entry or should i just apply visitor visa

Did you submit your tickets for the return trip? Did you request for two entries?

I did submit the tickets for the return trip. But i did not request for the two entries as there was no specific area in the application form that i can put that request

You should have mentioned all round trip flights in your transit visa application.

You can email your local visa office and request for a new counterfoil to be stamped in your passport for two entries

Thank you for your respond. Quite a relief to know that.
I did request through RICC Web form today. Would that be sufficient.? Do u know how long does it take for them to respond on that.?

Emailing your local visa office might get a quicker response from IRCC especially if you need to travel soon
