Transit VISA requirements while flying to Canada

I need some information on requirement of Transit VISAs
I am planning for a soft landing in November from Bengaluru to Toronto

a) BLR - Paris - Toronto (Delta Airlines) - Will this require a transit VISA in France?
b) Vancouver - Frankfurt - BLR (Lufthansa) - Will this require a transit VISA in germany?

If you are not stepping out of the airport in France or in Germany then you don’t require transit visa

and how do I get to know if I will be required to step out or not?

I am planning to book Lufthansa with a 5 hour layover at Frankfurt

You should enquire this with the airlines rather than this forum. The airlines can advise you better if you need to wait at the airport or not.
