Transit Visa Requirement for Air Canada flight from US to India via Toronta

I have an Air Canada flight on the 14th from the the US to India via Toronto. It has a one hour layover at the same terminal.

Do I need a transit Visa. My Visa hasn't been processed yet and I don't when it will so wanted see what were the alternatives.

Yes you need transit visa of Canada ic you are not a passort holder of visa exempt country.
Transit visa is free of cost - i guess you only pay vfs fees.
It is fairly quick, you might get in a fortnight's time if applied within US
