So me and my friend booked the same flight with Cathay Pacific airlines and it has a layover in hongkong.

No visa is required, unless you plan on leaving the airport. 10 hours is a long layover. Indians don't need to apply for a visa to visit hong Kong, but you need to do a pre-arrival registration, which will give you a 15 days visa. No payment required.

So I must visit it lol. I tried to fill the hong kong pre-arrival registration form and submitted it but registration was unsuccessful. Will try again for Disneyland

Apparently once unsuccessful, you need to apply for a visit visa which costs 190 dollars, and entails mailing the documents directly to HK. You can try again but chances are not high. It seems a lot of errors occur with their system.

I am also planning to fly Cathay Pacific, but my connection time is 55 minutes, so no Disneyland for me.

Also, it seems that if your passport is issued from certain states, then they automatically show it as unsuccessful. Age is also an issue.

You don't need it to travel to Canada, but your day trip cannot happen.
