Transit Visa in United Kingdom for flights to Canada

Hello Everyone,

I would be landing in Toronto in January 2018 from India via United Kingdom, can someone clarify whether a transit visa for United Kingdom would be required or not! The connecting flights in UK; land and departs from same terminal (#5) at Heathrow with a connecting time of 2 hours. FYI I have got the permanent residency of Canada. Request relevant feedback. Thanks in advance.

No. You don't need transit visa if you are not leaving the airport and your connecting flights are a few hours apart.
I have been travelling through LHR for quite some time and never needed transit Visa.

If you plan to go out of airport in the city, you will need it though.
