Hi All,

I have the Permanent Resident VISA and the COPR with me and will be landing next week.
I am flying with British Airways from Mumbai - London(Heathrow) - Toronto. And I plan to stay airside (Not stepping out of airport or do not need to check in my luggage again at Heathrow)
However, just wanted to confirm that I do NOT need the transit visa since I have a valid Canada Visa and onward
journey ticket on the same day (4.35 hrs layover).

Is this correct ?

I checked the gov.uk website and used the tool to check if I need a VISA. It says "I am exempt from the transit VISA requirement" since I have a valid Canada visa.
Also asked a travel agent who confirmed I don't need a transit visa

Can anybody who travelled through UK confirm this also ?

Thanks in advance

Hi!

I have an Indian passport and travelled from India to US twice in the last two years with layover in Heathrow Airport, London, with no transit visa. Most likely you would not need a transit visa for using the Heathrow Airport for layover if you do not leave the airport.

If possible, please answer this question: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/new-delhi-visa-office-ndvo-average-waiting-time-for-ppr-after-receiving-aor-t470798.0.html

Have a great flight and good luck!

Thanks for your reply sky2k16. Appreciate it. I dont intend to leave airport.

Sorry I cannot answer your query about Delhi VO, since my application was processed in SGVO.
Time taken was about 7 months.
Thanks again !

If you want to exit, you need a visa otherwise you don't

Thanks xpressentry for your response. Would appreciate if someone has travelled with the Immigrant
visa and COPR before through Heathrow and did not need a airside transit visa.

Thanks again !

Hi,

I wanted to know if a transit visa was required. I have booked a flight from Hyderabad to Toronto with Bombay and London Heathrow as Layover.
I will be changing flights at LHR from Jet airways (Terminal 4 ) to Air Canada (Terminal 2) with a layover of 2 hrs and 50 mins on the same calendar day.

Would I require a Transit visa if i have a COPR?
