hi everyone! i have a question. here's the thing, i am here in montreal working under the live-in-caregiver program for about 17 months now. I was wondering if i could transfer to toronto under the same program but with the a different employer for sure. here are some concerns i need to know:
1. how long does it take to apply for a new working permit if i transfer to toronto on a new employer?
2. will my 17 months working under the program be carried over on the next employment or would it start me all over again and waste those 17 months that i spent working.

pls. help me about this queries coz i need to decide and think the best and fastest way on how to transfer in toronto. thank you so much!

do you have an employer there in Ontario already?

my niece transfered from vancouver to Winnepeg. The work permit processing took 4 months but she didn't leave her employer until she got her new work permit.
the other months you worked will still be counted =)

thanks doquer83 for the enlightenment. actually i am still looking for a prospective employer in ontario. are you sure that the months i spent in working will still be counted? coz i am about to leave montreal which is in quebec so i am not pretty sure about the carrying over of months if transferring from here to other provinces like ontario. (since as far as i know that quebec has it's own policy compared to other part of provinces of canada). thanks again and God bless!

iM not expert but i am positive that your previous working hours will be carried forward.Quebec is still part of Canada =)
Yes you can start processing a new work permit even if your old one is still active.
