Applied from Canada
Got File # from Buffalo office - Oct, 2008
File transfer to Seattle - Mar, 2009

Still waiting. Contacted Seattle office by email and Fax since Feb. 2010, no response.

My questions:

- Are there any other applicants have the similar timeline?
- What is the better way to contact Seattle office to get their response?

Thanks,

FH

Seattle office = SLOWEST office?!

I just got a related info from my friend: Seattle office is SLOW.

One of his friend also waited for more than one year after her file was transferred to Seattle.

Hi

I have exactly the same case. I applied for PR in June 2008, Buffalo office started processing my file in Oct 2008. transfered my file to Seattle in March 2009. After that no reply. Just single e mail from seattle stating that you are found to meet C50 eligibility criteria and your file is pending more complete review. I recieved this mail on 8th january 2010..no reply after that...exactly same case. I would suggest to you that don't e mail them quite often. After first enquiry, wait for like 3 to 4 months. If you didn't get reply, then e mail them again....I really don't know what to suggest you as I am in the same boat.

Seattle is not necessarily slow -- my file was transferred in April and I got a medical request 6 weeks later; my passport request came one week after my medical results were received. Perhaps your security or employment check is taking longer than usual, for some reason?

Yaa you may be right..but so long..now I have got job, I did MBA from one of the best schools in Canada sent poositive LMO, I have clean criminal record, good Indian experience..still if they have any doubt, they should have asked us about the confusion or just reject it..i don't care but atleast tell us where we stand...

You should call them directly and ask for any information, I have been waiting for few weeks (not a year like you) and I lose my patience ;).

I already ordered my CAIPS notes. so this will tell me what is exactly happening to my file. I tried e mailing them but still no response. I have to go to Seattle to get my TRV as I have to visit India for my business trip. Then may be I will try to ask them. But I know thee won't tell me anything. I am hopeful its just a matter of time I guess. I guess my file is facing delays because I came in between Feb 2008 to Nov 2008 when the rule changes. Also I added my son in my application after. so this might be one of the reason. lets hope for the best. I pray to god that you will recieve your medicals soon.. All the best..
