Transfering DLI if I’ve actively studied at original DLI

I attended classes for two semesters online (2020-2021) from within Canada. I received my Study Permit in the mail in 2021 (a virtual landing due to covid-19 because I was already inside Canada). I later left Canada to visit my family.

I was accepted into a better DLI in 2021 and contacted IRCC and spoke to 5 different agents in 5 separate calls. I wanted to know how I’d transfer DLIs if I was presently outside Canada but already had a permit. They told me to update the DLI online using the GCKey. I clarified that I’d already paid my lawyer to reapply for a permit and they told me I should withdraw the application if I had submitted one. I have emails from the agents I spoke to which have instructions on how to update DLI online and withdraw application.

Can someone please tell me if I’ll have any issues re-entering Canada for in-person classes?

To clarify, I started attending online classes at my original DLI in 2020 because I had gotten step 1 approval. Permit was approved in December 2020, but it took 6 months for me to get it in the mail. I left Canada after completing my winter 2021 semester and getting my permit.

Since you were already studying in Canada and didn't have any unauthorised break in study, you don't need to apply for a new SP.
