:(Hello, im new here in this site but it's been a while I've been spending nights reading some topics and comments to give myself some ideas about where I am in my app right now....I really envy those who finally had their looooong wait over .....Congratulations to the new PR!!
I've sent mine ( common-law sponsorship) in January 2011 and they start processing it in March 02, 2011.Due that i live in Montreal, CIC Vegreville asked for a CSQ which i obtained in August 2011...Then, ive waited at least to pass the 1st stage, the AIP, but nothing until on Dec 22, 2011 they transferred my file in the local office here in Montreal....12 months already of waiting for something i dont know if i will be able to get....But I DO still keep the Faith...
Do you guys know why they transfer my file after a year without the AIP?...Did someone already experience this kind of situation??...And what about the timeline here in Montreal??...
Im totally lost and desparate and wish that someone will be able to help me...Im sorry with all those questions but i need something to boost me up.... .....I thank all of you in advance....

Transfer without AIP means that there are concerns with the information or documents submitted that CPC-V felt were best resolved by agents at the local office in Montreal. Expect to continue waiting for a while longer and they will likely request additional information and/or an interview with you and your partner at some point, so prepare yourself for that.

Hi if ur application is transferred u need to find why: ie lack of proof of relationship, age difference, culture difference, course of the relationship. The best way to prepare for this is to order foss notes they will tell you why agent transferred your file. I hope this helps

For the Foss there one checkbox you need to leave to avoid slowing down your application

actually they will need to interview you,
I had the same situation when my file was transferred to local CIC (Calgary)office(instead it went to Mississagua by mistake and stayed there for 9 months until i found out and requested them to recover my file, which actually came to local office after 9 months)you can check my long long timeline from my previous posts.keeping the story short,it took about 3 years ,4 months and two weeks to get my PR landing.I am waiting for my PR card now.It was very exausting and I wish nobody gors through such a long wait, but at the end it was blessed.so keep your spirit high, dont lose heart, a moment will come when u will get it atlast.good luck.

Thank you for your reply, but do you know how long it will take to get that particular interview??...And do you guys know if that once you have the CSQ, can you still be not approved by CIC for PR?....

The time waiting for the interview depends on how busy the local office is. You can try calling Montreal and asking them, I suspect that being an urban centre it will be quite busy and you have some months to wait. Yes, they can still refuse you, the CSQ only guarantees that the province of QC accepts you, you still need to qualify federally before you can land in QC.

Hello! i have the same situatioN like yours! :( .Vegreville transferred our file to Edmonton Office in October 19, 2011, edmonton received it Nov.1, 2011 (as per FOSS notes). The very same day (Nov. 1) we went there directly to submit additional infos... Then I ordered Foss notes, and answered all their remarks on our file.
Like:
1. Spn and pA, don't have enough pictures together.. (well, we don't have tripod and we were taking pictures of each other... it is obviously at the same location...duh!)
* so we submitted tons of photos of us together, we have tripod already. :)
2. then age gap, short courtship.... we answered it honestly!

I just sent them our 3rd additional info today... we included more pictures, our accidental death insurance and our renewd rent agreement.

Have you ordered your foss notes? Goodluck to us! God bless!

@Charmainefrances, this is very frustrating :'(.....I havent order my FOSS notes yet but im planning to this week to see what is going on with my app...How long did it take u to get urs?Did you mAil it or ordered it by email?
This is a so looong wait :(...cant go and look for a job, cant travel during the whole process and the worst is that u cant do anything bout it but just to wait until.......??
I read that once your file is transfered without the first stage of approval, it means that there are suspicious about the relationship or so....
But i still keep on praying that things will go better for all of us.....
....May God bless us!!...

PS: Are u from the Philippines? :)

hello! yes I am from the Philippines! and you?

I ordered my foss notes in October 2011 as soon as my E-cas changed.
and yes it is really frustrating...super frustrating! I mailed the request and at the same time I faxed it... after 2 weeks I received one from mail, then somebody emailed me after 2 weeks... so I got 2 FOSS notes the last one they updated my file saying " file received at CIC-Edmonton, Nov. 1, 2011...

When a file is transferred to a local office you should have TOns, Millions, billions of proof that the relationship/ marriage is genuine...

I asked my mom, my aunt, my bestfriend from the Philippines to write up a letter saying that my marriage is genuine then I went to a notary public. I also asked a letter from the Bishop who officiated our wedding....

Just today, aI submitted more... goodluck to them... they will be needing a bigger filing cabinet just for my file LOL.
