transfer to New York?

Now for the question: I logged in to the CIC online system and it said my file was transferred to the New York office from Buffalo. Any idea what this means? Thanks in advance.

Hello Everyone,
My file was transferred to NY from Buffalo on 28th July '2009. Recently, on Wednesday i.e. 16th Sept, i received an email stating that they posted a letter to submit my IELTS and Current Job Status, which i had submitted to Buffalo, before they transferred my File. Do i need to send it again or is there a way to ask Buffalo to send it to NY..

1.can u see ur updated records on CIC site? Bcuz i cant see anything for me, everytime i try to login it says info unavailable.
2.also even I am with the same law office as u r. so I wanted to know did thy inform u on ur progress or u checked it urself.?
My online status a month bck showed Pending review. And since thn i try to login i cant see anything for my case.

I see "in process" and it only changed once since i registered when the file was transferred, earlier it used to say "file received" or something. Apparently Buffalo and NY dont change the status at all.

i have applied on sep 08 and file transfered to NY in APRIL 09 and got my medicals on 7.10.09. sent medicals to ottwa on 23.10.09. still awaiting for PPR. can anyone confirm me when will i get PPR.

Wow thats a lot of time from 23rd November, why don't you write a mail to NY consulate. if they still say its stuck in Ottawa, I have heard others in the forum say that there is a fax number for Ottawa and sometimes they have expedited.

Do you know how long it takes for processing in Ottaw normally? So when do you think the visa office should receive your medicals results from Ottaw then?
