transfer of funds ($12.00 US) to Oman Arab Bank

this is required to get a police certificate when applying for PR according to CIC
but ...
neither my bank nor Western Union know much how to accomplish this.
a wire transfer will cost $40.00 which doesn't make sense
I want to send a bank draft with the application but I'm not sure that will be accepted
the CIC wording says "a transfer of funds for $ 12.00 US or its equivalent to the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations account number 3106-453888-500, Oman Arab Bank, Qurum Branch; and, confirmation of the deposit."
Does anyone here have any experience with this requirement?

i dont have experience with it, but you may just have to pay the $40 fee. It sucks, but thats how it is sometimes.

They accept only wire transfer. I transfered thro' TD bank, fees was $30. There is no option.
