Guys,

I need some input. Planning to move to India in couple of months. FSW1 full app sent to Buffalo, AOR on Oct 01, 2009.
As I have seen in the forum that the file transfer to Buffalo takes 4/5 months, then after my file will be in Q at ND CHC.

US ESTIMATE:
I think the Medical request will come in Oct 2010, almost 8 months+ 4 months PPR/VISA = 12 month .i.e. Feb 2011

INDIA ESTIMATE:

File Transfer+ Medical request+PPR/VISA=4+4+2=10 months. i.e. Dec 2010

And in the winter (nov/dec) i dont really thing any possibility is there to get job in Canada. Where as in India I have a job offer (tentative now), I can work till I want to move to Canada. In US I am like counting hours at my work. Anytime anything can happen.

what you guys think?

Any suggestions appreciated.

You can probably forget about having the file transferred, As per Operations Memorandum 180

"Visa offices are not required to transfer files for any other reasons. Such reasons include cases of applicants who comply with subsection R11(1) for the specified visa office, at the time the application is received at the CIO, but subsequently leave the territory of the specified visa office. In these cases, the original visa office should proceed with a final determination of eligibility and process the application if eligible. The visa office should not transfer the file to another visa office unless the transfer is warranted for program integrity reasons. Leaving a visa office’s territory alone does not warrant a file transfer. In this case, if an applicant requests a file transfer, the visa office should inform them that the application will not be transferred and that they are required to submit a complete application to the visa office originally specified within the 120 day deadline allotted by the CIO."

Thanks for the input.
I know its upto them by reading your post, but I have seen couple of post here about transferring the file to another visa office with a valid reason.

I have one person lost his job and he transferred his file to ND.

Anyone who already transferred or planning to transfer local visa office? Please post.

I have a question on this. If you move out of the territory and let the original Visa office process the application and original Visa office decides that you are good to go and send the PPR. In that case can you request the transfer for passport submission to different visa office.

No, the COPR is only issued by the processing office.
