The school I did my diploma with say they don't issue transcripts. They do however issue a syllabus which they say is the same kind of thing. Does anybody know if this is sufficient?

No, afraid it's not even close. Your university should be able to issue transcripts, even if your degree was completed a while ago.

It was not a University. They do not do transcripts, this states on their website, and I have spoken to somebody at the school who told me they do not keep record of transcripts.

Then WES can't validate it.

Try to speak to someone at WES directly. I think they will be able to help you, if you have a syllabus outlining the courses you completed.

You can send them an email.

Easier said than done, 3 emails and several phone calls with no response....

I have requested a syllabus which states all of the info that the transcript describes with WES and also a certificate of units assessed, which also outlines all of the info required. I will not be happy if I have just wasted $200 with WES and 44GBP with my school haha!

Looking back at your last posts... is this about hairdressing again? As Kryt0n already explained, unfortunately this won't count for EE educational points.

Honestly, I have been given different information from different people, so I have decided to try anyway.
I have just managed to get through to WES, who advised me that what I have asked my school to send is sufficient as it has all of the info on it that they need.

That's not what I saw though. If you are a hairdresser you should qualify beneath NOC 6341 Hairstylists and barbers (NOC B). It qualifies as a skilled worker.

Check this link here to verify that your experience matches that NOC: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Try sending the request for help to WES here: http://www.wes.org/support/

I am not a hairdresser.
I have a hairdressing qualification and have not done it full time since I was 20.
I work in Banking and have done for 6 years and I am NOC A (I do hairdressing on the side now and then back home)
I am using my hair qualifications for my education as it is my highest education.
I have spoken with WES 10 mins ago. They will accept the syllabus/ certificate of units assessed as a transcript.

Great - congratulations!

Whether my education gets me any points, that is another matter. But for the time being at least I know they will accept my form of transcript.

Thanks for your help :)
