Transcripts for WES - University of Madras

Hello all,
Can you please advice the steps with all the required documents needed to get the transcripts from University of Madras for ECA from WES. I will not be going in person as I do not reside in India and will be asking a relative to do the same.

Requesting the required information with all the necessary steps.

Thanks Jairichi for your response but I want an answer from someone who has actually got the transcripts from university of madras.
I am not in India and need to ask someone to do it on my behalf so need to know proper details.

And, did you read what is mentioned in the link. That is the actual procedure if you go in person or live abroad.

I have a consolidated mark sheet and a degree with me. I completed B.E.
Should I send both the consolidated mark sheet and a true copy of the degree?
Should I print and send the WES form?
Should I provide an authorization letter as I am not going to apply personally?
What else is needed?

Yes I read that but was not very sure if I should send only consolidated mark sheet it also the degree?
The reason is that WES requires us to send a copy of degree to them and they state that transcript is only a list of all the subjects and marks
I read somewhere else that both degree and consolidated Mark sheet is required to get a transcript from university. Hence the confusion

Is this not from Anna University. Was your degree from Madras University?
Yes, you need to take photocopies of every semester transcripts, consolidated mark sheet and degree certificate. Make sure photocopies cover the full length of documents. If documents have some signature or seal on the back side take that too. They are very fussy. Get them notarized in the country you currently reside.
Provide photocopies of the documents you need to get certified by University of Madras. Do not notarize these documents.
It is up to you if you need them to complete WES form. If yes, then send it to them.
Better to provide an authorization letter.

For each signature it is 10 INR. A signature and seal in the A4 envelope is also 10 INR.

They just attest the photocopies and put them in a sealed envelope and give it back to you. Even pasting the envelope is left to you.

It is university of Madras and not Anna university
I was the last batch to be under university of madras. 2000-2004 batch.
I only have consolidated mark sheet and the degree. I don't have the per semester Mark sheet. Is that a problem?
What should be written in front of the sealed envelope? Should it have the Wes address or can it be blank?

Got it. They attest whatever documents you have received from University of Madras. If you provide them consolidated mark sheet and degree certificate they will do that.
Envelope can be empty. If you want you can write WES number and address.

No worries. The clerks are the ones who are very fussy. The Director is a very nice person. If Director is there at the time of submission you can get attestation within 30 minutes.

Good luck. If that some one is going next week I can write a step by step guide of how to go about to get attestations from University of Madras and send it to you this Sunday.

Yes it would be the next week or the following week. I have just submitted my degree here in the embassy for a true copy. Then will send it to India. Your steps would be helpful not just to me but to anyone looking for some one who has done it first hand.
