@ Cleo: You don't need to share private information, you select what you want to share. Some people use a special eCas tracker, which means that you need to give your eCas login information to some website that informs you in the case of updates/changes. On that level I'm with you, I don't like to share my login data to a government website linked to my application with a website of which I don't know who is behind it and how well secured the data is. Count me out for that too. But Trackitt.com is not so bad on that level. Just some timeline data, just as on this forum. The main advantage is that you can sort the data more easily on visa office, any date, any status, any application type, etc.
I'm not trying to do anything to get you to sign up. I'm just trying to give you a complete image of what it is, since I'm under the impression you have a more negative view on that website then you should. If you still don't feel like signing up, that's perfectly okay.
Here is why the hyperlink isn't working: you forgot to put http:// in front of the address. The way the internet works is that now the CanadaVisa website thinks it's a page on it's own website.
Here's a working link: /edit: I now see what you mean, the forum software is a bit buggy. No proper links possible. Copy this into your address bar: ttp://trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class (put an h in front of it).
