Could anyone advise if you are unable to check your status on ecas with your receipt number, but before you could, now it's saying you need B000000000 to check.

Could you advise what this B# is and or indicative of, and is it an indication that your file is transferred to the visa office?

The B# is the ponsored person's immigration file number. It is found at the top of any documentation sent from the visa office. Note, it is different from the sponsor's client ID#.

Thanks Lovehopefear, much appreciated. I have not yet receive my approval letter, would you say this is a good sign?

do you mean a sponsor approval letter? your receipt number should show that your sponsorship was approved and a letter sent.
if you are talking about AOR, not all visa offices send them. You can also check the status of your application using a Client ID - it will be exactly the same info as mentioned under B file.
