Tracking PNP/QSW March 2012 applications to Nova Scotia

Just found this topic on the forum and decided to post my timeline for PNP to get some advice from people:

We received your application for permanent residence on March 15, 2012.
We started processing your application on April 23, 2013.
Medical results have been received. (May 2012)

They asked for RPRF payment and Updated details of personal history since (March 15th 2012) on April 9th 2013 and then on April 23rd the status changed to In Process. Does that mean it takes 14 months from April 23 2013 for cic to decide about my case? What do people think about this case? BTW I sent the docs to CPP-O like all here.

I contacted my local MP and she is now applying to CIC for a status update on my application. If anyone needs to contact their MP their is a list on the the following link for each area within each Province of Canada.

When you contact your local MP they will need you to fill out a consent form it is called "Authorization for Parliamentarians" (Applicant Information Release Form). They will apply on your behalf! I just thought this might be helpful for anyone who is disheartened and might get info faster than the GCMS notes.

Will let you know if I hear anything back!

The MP got back to me today.... She said the application was progressing well. It is currently going through background check. She said I should hear something by June. She also said that they extended my medical for another year! She reiterated that every application is different and that was her excuse for the faster processing times for applicants who applied after june!!

Is't same medical procedure or different? I think it's the same form just different format only?

I am march 01, 2012 QSW applicant. I received an email for an update and for paying RPRF at march 25, 2013. After that, I have not received any update on my ecas nor email from ottawa. I am a little worried ???
