Just wondering if the PPR is taking longer because I have a dependant?..... More time needed for verification/ security check?...

hi sandy, sarayu and scarlet,

that might be the case. im not sure though.
also i have no dependents.
if you are about to reach the given processing time or if
your application is beyond it, i suggest to shoot the visa office an email. by then they should be able to reply.

hoping you guys will get the good news soon.

God bless!

Hi me123,

Thanks for your reply. In my case it's just 5 months and 10 days...but actual processing time is 13 months for CPP-Ottawa. I am not going to send them an email right now...will wait for some time...more over, I have a representative...don't know whether I can contact CPP-O directly if required.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi All,
Thats it!!!!!!!Finally long wait has finished.....Yes I became permanent resident.
This is the short story what was happened today.
I went to Lacolle border today around 7 PM and finished landing in <30 mins.
first went to US border by walk (parked my car infront of canadian border as my friends were in that car sitting and njoying FM) and collected the refusal letter and turn back towards canada and at the CANADA security check collected the yellow letter and agent guided towards immigration office and we followed the same. The Immigration officer collected our passports/CoPR documents and CSQ documents. Later he asked the Proof of Funds statement and he gave me a white paper to write my canada address where I stay and after giving all, he advised me to sit for a while and in 10 mins he called us back and asked to read the points present in CoPR document and sign it infront of him. He said then magic words "Congrats and now you became canadian permanent resident" and said the rules and what to do next (i.e Apply for New SIN and Health care card).

PS: To my surprise he did not ask my company offer letter/payslip/work permit/any other documents...But always good to have with you.

I would like to say thanks to all forum members and best of luck to all who are waiting for the same moments. I have been benefited a lot from you.

Regards,

hi all,
iam writing this message to get a clarification about one point. iam wondering if the employer name has been changed in my company but iam still working doing the same job and resposiblities after i got approval for the pnp and applied for the PR.The new employer is willing to help anyway.
the ownership system in our company is by associate type so the company name still the same but the associate name or the employer has been changed.

does that affect the process?

Hey Sandy,

That's really good to hear from you. I am sure it will be good news for you. So, it never showed "In Process" for you right? Is that gonna happen the same with my case too?...I have calculated and it took about 73 days for you to see next update on your ECAS after "Medicals Received"....for me it's just 35 days now.

I am eagerly waiting to see my update too...let's see how long it's gonna take for me.

By the way, may I know your representative's name (if you don't mind)? If it's OK for you, can send me PM.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Sarayu,

Thanks! :)

The eCAS status changed to "In Process" on 15th March. Before which they had requested for RCMP criminal check on 12th February which I sent some time during the 1st week of March. The average time to get the PPR from AOR Received is around 5.5 months (thats the trend I've seen). I'm sure you'd hear around the same time, earlier if everything is good ;-)

Please check your PM.

Thanks,
Sandy

Get my passports/CoPR documents yesterday! ;)
