My application got returned because of "original birth certificate missing". They clearly mentioned that "passport based birth certificate" is not valid and you have to provide the original or any supporting documents other than passport based/consulate issued documents.

No worries. I expected this situation after reading lot of forum comments. I am waiting for my original birth certificate from my home town and after that I will resubmit my application.

One thing I noticed. They cross checked my existing visa office to "Ottawa" and all checking are made on red ink. For their own verification, they are just jotting down in the application, wherever they want (might be for their better understanding)

I am not sure how long will it take to process my application after submitting for the second time.

If you know any information, tips.. please let me know. I may re-submit my application within 1 or 2 weeks.

Hi, I think you are the one who sent me personal msg. I have replied you already, but if you don't mind let me know your contact number (send me PM)...then will discuss further.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi csponline,
If they have given you file number than they will consider your file as per old date and if not than it will be considered as a new file and will take time as per that date. All the best. Don't forget to send a cover letter explaining what happened before and send copy of a letter which they sent you along with your file.

my application was received on october 4 2012 and cc charged nov 9 2012 ;D but nor AOR YET ??? :-[

Hi Pakkecanadavale,

Thanks for your update. Looks like they are starting to process
October applicants. Based on Sept. applicants timeline,
they were able to receive their MR 4-6 days after their cc were charged.

I'm also an October applicant and my file was received
last October 1 but no MR yet till this time. I purchased
bank draft to pay my fees so i cannot tell if they
already encashed it.

Let me know if you're applying within Canada or outside
Canada?

Thanks,
Milsrome

to @ Milsrome

yes i am applying within canada …………. what i can suggest that you can call your bank and ask then whether u r draft was encahsed………….. how about you r u applying within canada………????? :)

Pakkecanadavale,

I did check thru the bank but they don't
usually verify it unless u pay them to do
so. That's the good thing when u pay ur fees by CC.
So i guess i just have to wait for my AOR.

I'm applying outside of Canada thru PNP-FSW
backlog program.

Good Luck to all applicants!!!
