today i send them email asking for my status regarding if they received my medical result or not.. i got reponse after 5 hours that my file is in process and the category in which i have applied will take 16 month :o WTH !!! they didnt even bother to answer my question regarding medical results ... any way i just check there processing time sheet and it seems like they changed it from 14 months to 16 months now .. FML!

Can you please post the link where the processing time is 16 months!
I will wait for 120 days before contacting to cic. Dont worry about "medical received " ecase status. Mine was updated on 9th sept and no updates so far.
Hope we all will get ppr in due course of time.

I too received similar mail. However, I got it at 10.41 pm, which is odd.
It means they have put up some kind of auto-response system without looking at any case timeline.
It doesn't mean everyone will take that long. My guess is 8-10 months maximum. :-\

i received reply at 10:26pm lol ...

WTH !!! now i received this in my email ...

You were sent medical forms and instructions on AUGUST 2, 2012. This is a reminder for you to make arrangements to visit the office of a Panel Physician (PP) to undertake your medical examination as soon as possible. Our records indicate a medical is still outstanding.

If you have already completed your immigration medical, you may disregard this notice.

i already gave my medical on august 15th... now i am confuse should i reply them or just disregard this notice...........

sohail,

I would definitely further investigate with them to make sure they received your medicals. I hope they did and this is just a mistake, but do write to them, or call them if u're in canada and set the record straight. U don't want any additional delays because their bureaucratic process takes forever...

everybody else,

when I wrote Ottawa to ask them about my medicals (received or not) they also linked me to the cic.gc.ca website's processing times, which is pretty bad for my case also, something like 12-14 months. however, their e-mail clearly states a standard processing time of 10 months. Now the problem might come from the fact that it could take Ottawa 10 months to process everything, then ur case would be sent to the visa office like Detroit possibly in my case (i'm in us), which would also take a few months to make additional checks and collect the right of residence fee, ask for passport and deliver visa...
just like all of u, i do hope they streamline this process enough so that we all get it earlier!!!

Hi Berbu,
Do you have an idea that how can we check exactly our file is. I am also in US and sent my medical to Ottawa. Its now more than two months but didnt get any ppr. should i call to detroit office to check either my file is in us or not.

does anyone know there phone number? i live in ottawa and i can call or meet them in person..

Malisa,

we have very similar time frames, I don't think you should expect PPR just yet. even though we did medicals more than 2 months ago, it could take another 3-6 months to get ppr and have ur case moved to detroit. I completely understand u want things to move faster, just like i do, but there is just so many people in the same situation, we'll just have to wait and see. In any case I would not be worried if I wee u just because u haven't heard back from them yet.

PPR will come sometime:))

Hey Guys ,

The best way is to wait . you don't want to annoy them without any reason. i read other forums and heard people saying they delay your application if you keep bugging them .

Sohil- what was ur MR was saying about timing at first place ? does it say standard processing time of 10 months ?

they also suggest to email them after 120 days of AOR. did anybody email them after 120 days yet?

Malisa & Brebu - u guys are in US rite ? there might be different processing time for inland applicant and out side applicant ? whats u think?

my 120 days will be very soon so lets see what happen.

Hi huh001,

Actually my stream is different from you people. I am for FSW backlog reduction pilot processing scheme. I think you all for Canadian Experience class.
As far as my point of view is concerned, this all depends on OTTAWA Office, though my MR letter say that i should contact them after 120 days of the issuance of that letter. In addition the total processing time is 10 months in which category i applied for. This is what letter say.

Anyways wait is killing me, but still i have to. there is no other option.

yes !! from the email its says 10 months .. and i can contact them after 120 days.. but i am puzzled now .. within 24 hour they send me reminder email of medical .. which i already gave it 2 months ago.. this is frustrating ... there should be a better channel of communication rather then just sending same replies to every one !!

Sohail i am sorry for you, now it is confusing. Once you sent your medical, did you check that whether it has been delivered or not by the postal service. Usually they give the tracking number.
I have one suggestion that if you can get CAIPS/GCMS notes to check that your medical has been received or not.

Hi Sohail,
Now i carefully read the above message, and i think you shoulr disregard this message, as you have already done your medical and wait for 120 days. But on the safe side you can ask your Doctor.

Hello everyone.

this is my ecas

We received your application for permanent residence on May 8, 2012.

Medical results have been received

I have received my medical request on June 25th 2012. Tomorrow the 120 will be over.

Should i call them? Or just wait.

I know people who applied in July and received their passport request. Is every case different or does that mean that something is wrong with my application?

Thank you and god bless you all

Hi Coder,

I think it is case to case basis. Because a friend of mine hasn't received his ppr yet and he applied earlier than me. His friend who applied with the same PNP stream contacted CIC and received an email similar to what sohai received. Stating that their processing time is now 18 months. Since your ecas is updated as medical received already, I would suggest to just wait for their email. I know it is really hard to wait, but i guess that's the only thing that you can do for now.

Sonic.
