My timeline is also like you guys..waiting waiting...i am also going to India on Nov 7 and coming back on dec 8...

Hello,
I am Gaurav. Presently i am working as mechanical design engineer with one of mining equipment manufacturer in Sudbury, Ontario. My employer had received positive LMO 4 months ago for position in which i am working & on the basis of it i was issued a work permit about one month ago. I just wanted to know if i am allowed to apply for PR under PNP category for the same position. My employer is willing to apply for pre screen application form for that position. I have also heard that PNP category is subjected to annual cap of 500 applications per year & mechanical design engineer (NOC:2132) are not eligible to apply under PNP category in ontario. Could you please let me know if those constraints applies to me? Thanks very much in anticipation of your reply.
Thanks,
Gaurav

Hi Sohail,

I have some news for you. A friend told me that they give around 60 days time to send the passport as per PPR. Please confirm it with Sonic or others who have got it.

Now, if the PPR comes around mid-November, you'll have time around mid-January to send your passport. I guess you would be back in Canada by then and can send the passports, which can reach Windsor in day by fed-ex. In this way, your(and mine) trip would not be jeopardized. Hope it helps. :)

Best,
Gary

Based on the email that they sent to me, you have to send your passport within 30 days starting from the date you receive the passport request.

@Gary: probably your friend got lucky for that matter. Any way i dont think so i will be getting PPR request any sooner... i still dont have "Medical Received" status on my ecas .. and its been more than 2 months now.. i am worried :(

I am may applicant as well....
Wait is killing.... People from other province have their status In Process although they applied a month after me...Good for them but not good for CIC who is following a random pick approach....

hello sohail and huh,

I think u might be in the same boat as me. When u go in to the status thing, u only see application received. But then if u click on it (because it's a link), it will opn another tab, which will tell u application received on XXX date. Underneath it should say Medical received.

I actually e-mailed them because I was only seeing the app received on the first screen, nd they replied weeks later that they received the medicals as well.

hi
when did ecas show medical recieved ?

Thanks

Sohil- well i called cic call center they said they don't have any info on that as they cannot access Ottawa 's file. i email Ottawa as well but they never replied as usual.

Brebu - i know man but in my cases i cant even log into the website . the only way i can check status is cic call center automated phone line.

so hopefully i will get PPR soon.

does any may applicant get PPR yet? they suggest on AOR to contact them after 120 days of the date of email. if we dont hear from them . so i probably gonna email them in 2 weeks

today i send them email asking for my status regarding if they received my medical result or not.. i got reponse after 5 hours that my file is in process and the category in which i have applied will take 16 month :o WTH !!! they didnt even bother to answer my question regarding medical results ... any way i just check there processing time sheet and it seems like they changed it from 14 months to 16 months now .. FML!

That is the same response that my friend received when he sent an email to CIC too. At first I didn't believe to it. I guess it is based on case to case basis.

I too received similar mail. However, I got it at 10.41 pm, which is odd.
It means they have put up some kind of auto-response system without looking at any case timeline.
It doesn't mean everyone will take that long. My guess is 8-10 months maximum. :-\
