Looks like it's real

Another applicant confirmed the timetable for PNP and QSW applicants

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/buffalo-applicants-file-transferred-to-other-vo-due-to-buffalo-closing-down-t106454.5205.html

If that's the case, then we got a LONG LONG way to go

Have there been any confirmed cases that go against these timelines? I'm hearing that a few June 2012 applicants are getting through, which might suggest that these timelines are just worst case scenarios or just a rough estimates and they might be running faster.

That's my optimistic approach anyway, and I'm sticking to it! :)

Hi All,

I am also confused with the average processing time mentioned on CIC website. My visa office is London and CIC website says average processing time is 23 months. I emailed the London Office to ask for average processing time and they replied back and said 6 months after receiving application from CIO. Don't know what is going on.......

Guys I have a problem. The company that sponsored me for PNP is going to shut down on February. On CIC it doesn't mention that you need to notify them in case of loss/change of employment, however, on Nova Scotia PNP, it mentions baldly that changes/loss of employment should be brought to their attention. I am going to notify the provincial government. Even though I have another job, I am not sure where do I stand now in terms of my PR application?

Check your Nomination letter - If it states the employer on it then nomination is specific to your employment at that company (once you attain PR that doesn't matter anymore, you are free to work where you wish - once you have PR). My understanding is that you need to check with the province whether they are happy for the Nomination to continue, if not then it may be that you would need to start the process over again. :( :(
If you are close enough, see if there is a drop-in advisory centre rather than the call-centre, people are much more attentive when they see you in person.
Good luck!

I will check with the province. I hope I will not have to start the process allover again since I am at the last stage now and it's not my fault that the company is shutting down. I'll talk it over with them in person. Thanks for your response

As long as you PNP adviser supports your nomination you are fine. You will have up to 3 mouths to find new job in case you got fired or so.
You will need to let CIC know that you have changed employer. (That is what my adviser said)
So go and talk to them, you might need to get new WP though.

I have already secured another job. I have a post graduate work permit which authorizes me to work for any employer. Did you go through a similar situation?
