My estimate timeline has passed. Let's wait again.

Good news was that my baby boy was born on July 19, 2013. Haha! I has been a father for two weeks alreadly.

I am on parental leave till August 19, 2013.

Hopefully something will happen before that day.

Congrats westzhu!

I did not get any email but I did send the receipt to CIC Ottawa by email.

All I got back was a automatic reply email saying that they would follow it up. This was something done back in May right after I sent the receipt to them.

And my status changed to "In process" on June 21 without any RPRF request of confirmation email prior to it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks westzhu, that's exactly same situation as mine. My E-cas shows in process since july 22, a month after you, hope you will get PPR soon and I'll know mine is coming in about one month, LOL.

Hi, there.
I'm getting worried my situation that RPRF not cashed yet.
I already sent email but no answer.
I heard Manila is so fast but not me :(

Hi Aman,

I am wondering that did you add your spouse name in PR file at the time you applied her visitor visa.

One more thing, my wife is in India and I am awaiting results on PR file. Is it a best time to apply visitor visa for my wife? If yes then is it better to apply from Canada or India?

Thank you,

Jay.

Can you please update my timeline.

Application received (Nova Scotia) - February 1,2013
Medical request - March 8
In process - June 19
RPRF - July 4
waiting for passport call.

Hi Jay,

Anyone can apply for a visitor visa, regardless of where his/her spouse lives. The only two things that the case officer is concerned of are 1) The applicant can support his/her stay in Canada (financially) 2) The applicant would return to his/her home country after the completion of their visit or before the expire of their visa.

Now anything that you provide to the case officer should be supporting these two conditions. Regardless of the status of your permanent residence file, please be sure to show enough money in bank, pay stubs. Also, your pr file can show that the applicant is already in the process of becoming Canadian so it could help as they will be little assured that she will return if gets denied PR. Nowdays, CIC recognizes dual intention of the applicant, and respect it, depending on how it is presented to the officer. Be sure to support these two conditions as much as you can, and hope for the best.

Let me know, if any other questions.

Thanks,

Aman

Also, since your wife is in India, you can only apply in India. How would you submit passport if she cant go out of India? Remember it is illegal to ship your passport out of India and it can be confiscated if caught. I applied for my wife's visa in NDVO and it took 10 business days even when they were on strike.

These are my thoughts on the delays we are having as provincial nominees. I think PAFSO needs to get support for their cause and its only Family related, Employer related immigration where current residents, citizens and canadian companies have a stake in that could achieve this in their thinking.(FSW program don't really have any particular home interest and so processing can proceed). I remember PAFSO calling on canadian families and companies to prevail on goverment to bargain fairly. Its unfortunate we are at the receiving end and worst affected. I trust and believe this will be resolved quickly and God will step in now.

Nothing changed on ecas but I got email from Manila about requesting some document (Entry and Exit certificate, Military Service certificate)
