Hi Everyone!
Congratulations to those who got PPR/DM.
Heading toward good future.

I saw some posts and I noticed that applicants from Alberta and Ontario who applied in PNP stream are getting PPR/DM fast and before those who applied from other provinces.
Myself, applied on 14 feb through Saskatchewan PNP and still showing in process.
Some of my friends who applied in start or mid of feb still waiting.
I saw some people applied a week after me or applied in March and april are done with DM.

Don't understand logic of CIC.
Hoping for good news
Congratulations again

Hey Shazad,

I can think of one logic: May be in the end CIC requests some information from the PNP office of the province? and may be Ontario and Alberta offices are faster than other provinces? I am not sure man, I am just guessing, this PR this is getting me nuts and I am getting very impatient. :(

Another reason might be that some cases are just more complicated than others. Security, background, police checks might take longer.

Well, still, end of the day you can see they are finalizing other files before. I am not saying that because I live in Saskatchewan.
It is just my opinion.

I think there is some other reason in that. SINP limited numbers of files for all streams so I dont think they delay in reply to CIC's requests.

Let c and hope for good

My friend province has no role once you go federal with CIC. The reasons which may vary time on applications submitted together are Visa officer handling the case or Security/background check ( complicated process if there is a name match). I hope your lawyer/rep is keeping a check on his/her email. I am confident you will get it soon. Cheers!

I second gn and westzhu, province has nothing to do with the processing. I believe its related to background/security check thing which is done once your application shows in process status on ecas.

In my case, app got in process on 29 july, after 20 days on 18 aug, it was reviewed by officer, notes mention background declaration form should be checked, then on 28th aug, I got email from CIO-NS that there is three months lag in background declaration and ask to send the revised one. Once I send the revised which reached there on 4 sep, I see security screening is being conducted but dates are hided. Then on 11 sep, it was sent to ottawa and ottawa had it on 17 sep.. this is latest activity I can see on my gcms.

This means security is even done by CIO-NS and once all process are completed, it goes to ottawa.. so may be security/background is something which is taking time in your case. order your GCMs notes, may be they will give you a better picture..

Perfectly put with e.g. +1. Thanks Arif and good luck on your processing.

My file went in process on 16 july. CPP emailed me on 09 Aug that my file moved to ottawa and told me to pay PRPF which i did pay on 12 aug.
NO news after that.
westzhu I agree with you that it depends on background and security check but most of the files are in process mean that they are done with it.

I am not much worry about it because at least I am on safe side. I know a lot of people who are effected from new rules of SINP and they have 1 year work permit. Also, when I see immigration system around world than I feel lucky that how fast we get Permanent residence in Canada.

It's worth of waiting my dear friends.
Best of luck everyone
Hoping for good news. :)

Just a small correction - 'In process' does not mean your file is completed. Apply GCMS if you haven't it will give you more clarity on where you stand. Good luck.
