Are you from a visa exempt country? In that case I think they send the copr letter in the mail without a ppr. I'm still waiting though, even though my status changed at the end of September.

Have you heard anything yet Dashee?

Finally got a Decision Made status today. Now I just need to wait for CIC to send out my COPR.

Application received: December 18, 2012
Medical results received: March 15, 2013
In process: April 25, 2013
Decision made: November 8, 2013

Hello, everyone,

I hope to receive my AINP nomination soon, and want to apply to Sydney, NS right away, without police certificates.
Who did like this? Did you supply the application with an explanation why you do not have police certificates?

I have two reasons not to send them now:
First one, is because I do not have them and I will take around 1.5 month to get them. I do not want to lose time.
Second, I want to send them as late as possible so that they do not expire in case my application process will last more than 1 year.

When do they actually need them? After AOR? Or after medicals done? Or after my application will be sitting "in progress" for a couple of month?

Please, advice me on the timing about police certificates.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi Nerozdilna,

You can always submit your police certificates at later stages and you don't have to write any letter to CIC why you are not sending them police certificates now...but if you wish, you can draft a cover letter and tell them that it's gonna take about 30-45 days to get a police certificate and will submit it as soon as it's available.

I suggest you to wait until you get your AOR and apply for your police certificates immediately after you get AOR. I don't want you to wait until they ask for the police certificates. You can always send them again in case your application processing time goes beyond 1 year.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Thanks, Sarayu,

I think you are giving me a very wise advice. Where will be my application after I get AOR? Where should I send police certificates, to Sydney, NS, or to Ottawa CPP?

Hi all, the status of my application has been decision made since November 8th. I have yet to receive any mail or email yet for the next step. The country I am from is visa exempt, so I assume I will be getting COPR directly instead of a PPR, is that correct? If so, how long is the wait normally? Does anyone know? Thanks a lot.

Good afternoon all PR applicants.

This morning, after literally no updates on eCAS since March, I received my Confirmation of Permenant Residence in the post. No email, no prewarning, nothing.

I am ecstatic to be becoming a permenant resident after 11 long months of waiting, tension, stress and worry. I am so happy.

I wish all you others good luck in your applications - hopefully us Decembrists will all be getting good news soon.

Alex

Hi Dadaum,

Thanks for your concern and message.

Actually we had a new born Son on Nov 1st. So, first we have to add the new born to the existing application. We have submitted his application to CPP-Ottawa two week ago. We are waiting to get medical request for the new born baby. So, that's the reason it's getting delayed in my case. I don't know how long it's gonna take now.

Thanks,
Sarayu.
