Hello all,

I'm going to landing sometime next week. But I have a question about PR CARD Mailing address. Can I use PO Box as my mailing address? I set PO BOX as my mailing address in my application. But CIC issued a new policy about PR card mailing address last year. I'm really confused with this. Thanks a lot

Nymar
Not sure about the PO Box rules but the CIC officers at the border will be the best person to ask. All the BEST...

Dear All,

I am preparing documents to CIO,and have an urgent question, there are some files we need to sign,
could you please help me to confirm whether it is correct:
ITEM File name Of Page Signature
1 Generic Application Form to Canada(IMM 0008) Page 5 Principle applicant
2 Schedule A:Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) Page 4 Principle applicant
3 Schedule A:Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) Page 4 Spouse
4 Schedule 4:Economic Classed-Provincial Nominees Page 1 Principle applicant
5 Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) Page 1 Principle applicant
6 Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) Page 1 Spouse

When we was preparing application documents to Manitoba(MPNP General stream),I remember there were some papers need to be signed by bothe(Principle applicant and spouse),it was the agency to prepare docuemnts for us,we just signed when he asked, I did not pay much attention on it,but this time I want to prepare by myself.
And according to the my understanding, there is no paper requring signatures of both of us. Is it right?

Could you guys help me to figure out, thanks

It seems correct - I believe you also need IMM 5620 (Fee Payment - signed by the PA - only if you are not paying online) and IMM 5562 (Your Travels - signed by the PA) and the checklist (IMM 5620).

The checklist (IMM 5620) is a good guide on what needs to be sent and which documents are needed and which ones need to be signed by whom. I also prepared the documents myself and had no issues.

Cheers

thanks Silentrob,

Thanks for your reply, very appreciated. but
1.for IMM 5620, my sponsor said he will pay for me in Canada, how I can deal with the form?
2.for IMM 5562 , I don;t see there is any place need principle signature??

Any clue on it?thanks

Yes, sorry, I was reviewing my own copies and IMM 5562 does not require a signature indeed. About IMM5620, if you are paying in Canada online you need the CIC receipt instead of it.

Cheers

@ ojeola.....just wanted to know how much time is given on the visa and COPR that is issued to every applicant, with time i mean expiry date before a person has to enter canada and receive PR.

Will advice you to include all the necessary document to support your application. Employment letter and a degree certificate are very essential concerning your application.

Once the COPR has been printed, applicants is having about 6 months grace period to land.

Just saw this on CIC website.

Alert – Strike Action

The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.

Got PPR today... ;D

Will take some time to send my PPs though. Had a trip already booked for next month.
