Hey Guys

I need some suggestion from you guys. I landed on 12 sep and was hoping of getting PR card in 3 weeks but until now no update. Call CIC 3 time and no update yet. They said everything looks good in file so just wait. Now the thing is i am going back home for my cousin wedding on 16 oct and i don't know if i am going to receive it before that or not. I have heard that you can entered Canada with COPR/landing papers by land in private vehicle. So i am planning to change my return flight from India to US and then enter Canada by land. I do have US visa.

Any Suggestion if this will work or i should wait for PR card and cancel my trip?

You will mostly likely get the pr card before you leave but in case you don't, you can enter canada by land via the states or you can also have someone mail the card to you in India. This way you won't have to change your flight or anything. I also landed on the 12th of september and got a ghost email yesterday.

Quick question, How do you check if they mailed out the PR card to you? I do have access to the online platform that shows my PR application is complete but dosnt say PR card has been mailed out or anything?

Do I need search an application with my landing number and not my PR application number? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They don't mail the card out right away. Did you successfully link your pr card application to your online account?

I hope i will get before i leave. I call them yesterday morning and there was no update, I could not link my application either. Can you please advise where did you land and what time did you get the update yesterday.

Please let me know when your card is shipped and if you received it. I will try to call them on Monday and will see where i am.

I jus got off the call with an agent and she said that they have sent my to the production department

Good , I hope they will ship your card by Monday. I just call them yesterday so i dont want to call them today. Will call them on Monday and see what happens.

no I didn't get the approved update yet. I only got a ghost update yesterday and when i called she told me that they sent my card to the production department

Has anyone waited for 2 weeks but did not receive your PR card in the mail box? Mine was dispatched on Sep 19th. I live in Toronto so it should not take more than 2 weeks to receive it from Nova Scotia. I called IRCC the other day and the agent said the PR card was indeed mailed out. I have never had this problem receiving important mails at my address before.

I plan to travel abroad soon, what should I do now?

This is the worst part. There is no tracking available. So its just long wait till you get it.

My application was received on Sep 18 and I have just received a confirmation that they have started on it today. They also told me the linking your application online only works after they start processing it.

@trihuynh : I think they will get to your application early next week.

My landing was on Aug 27th, and the application was linked to CIC account on Aug 29th. It was approved and the PR card was mailed out on Sept 19th It has been over a month since my application was approved, and IRCC agent has confirmed all of these when I called them yesterday. Now I guess I have to wait, and wait, and wait.
