Ghost Update -- March 29, 2019 (Just now)

Getting nervous !! Either Photo request or Approved. Anyway got something update
Hey buddy we are flying to Toronto next month for our first landing. I read someone's experience that "The officer asked him on how long he is going to stay? -when he said 2-3 months, officer asked him to wait till his permanent move and go to the cic website and apply PR card & somehow he convinced the officer that he is going to stay there until he gets his Card even though he wasn’t going to."

My question is what was your experience at Toronto airport OR Does anyone else faced this problem where office wasn’t willing to initiate the PR card application on first/soft landing ? This is bit of a concern to me. I’m planning to do mine next month, should I be prepared to convince the officer to get my application started there itself ?

New photos received: March 25
Ghost update: March 28

I hope this is at last the end of my process

There is definitely some miscommunication. Because, irrespective of your length of stay, the officer asks your documents and an address to mail the PR Card. Many does soft landing and leave back to USA or India or their home country and they eventually get their cards delivered to the address they mentioned. So don't worry, just enjoy your time in hometown now and have a great flight.

It's called the Ghost update. Your Photos might have been accepted and may see approved status in coming days.

Its funny and the same time very frustrating! I am the primary applicant and we landed on 3rd March. My wife got her PR card after 24 days and her application is showing approved since 22nd March while my application is still showing submitted after 26 days! What's going on??

landed mar 1st.
approved mar 29th.

how long it usually takes to receive it ?
Hello,

Hi All,
I used the webform to inquire about my dependents PR card(I got mine). I got email as below. Have any one faced similar scenario?.

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

After reviewing your file, we noticed that an address is necessary in order to issue your Permanent Resident card (PR card). ( for all dependants)

To notify us of your address, please use either:

  • The IRCC Web form and choose Change of Address located in the drop down menu under the heading Enquiry, including the following information:
    • your last name and first name,
    • your client identification (ID) number (if available),
    • your date of birth,
    • your home address, and
    • your email address
OR

Once we receive your current mailing address, the responsible office will gladly update it and will then issue your PR card.

If you leave Canada before you obtain your PR card, and you:

  • Return by private vehicle:
    • you can present documents proving your PR status,
  • Return by commercial vehicle (airplane, bus, train, or boat):
As we were verifying your family's file, we noticed that multiple profiles exist for family member's. In order for us to facilitate the next step of your application and to keep the information centralized, we invite you to write back to us using the IRCC Web formand include family member's :

  • Full name,

Upon reception of this information, we will take the necessary steps to keep your update your family member's information.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

Hi all,

Its being more than 2 weeks since CIC mailed my card, but I havn't received it yet. I had my landing interview on JAN 24 in Edmonton. On March 12, I got my PR card approved, since then I am waiting for my card. I am really really worried. Can anyone please help me if like this ever happened with anyone. And what is the maximum time card took to come to Edmonton.
