Hi, I landed on the 15th. Received a ghost update yesterday after I called them to check the status. The representative told me that she would inform the respective office as the application had crossed the 41 day processing time. Hoping to receive an approval today.

I have a question regarding photos for PR card processing, could someone please clarify?
I submitted 2 photos for my copr, when I received my copr one photo was affixed on the copr and the other one was returned. This being the case do we have to submit the photos again when PR card is applied during landing?

My logical opinion: Photos have to be compliant the day they process your card as well.. So, technically if you got your photos done > 6 months, they become non-compliant when they process. I think to stay safe submit fresh photos while landing if you are landing >4-5 months after date on the photos coz it takes them 40-50 days to do it
basically from what i have understood is that they process based on the submission date of the photos. so in the month of Feb they cleared Dec,2018 backlog. and now ,ie today , as per the update posted here, they are working on photos send on Jan 22.. if thats the case then i hope they can clear Jan fast .
I think its pretty random. I am seeing people submitting photos in dec and still waiting
i dont think its random.. i called and checked .. they are working on jan batch (photo submission's that where received on JAN by post). any one b4 that should have received some update on there page..

But since out of the 2 photos submitted during copr, one is on the copr and the other returned, based on which photo do they process the PR card? Is it based on the one in copr that we hand over to them during landing (the IRCC copy)?
Also can we voluntarily provide recent photos during landing if there is a larger gap between photo submission date for copr and landing?
Did anyone receive an email from IRCC titled "How did we do? A government of Canada survey". It says "you have been selected to take part in a Government of Canada Survey! Our records indicate that you have recently received a decision from us on an application." I previously received Express Entry survey email but this looks different. And I'm not sure what application they are referring to. If my Express Entry application, it's been a while since it was approved. I don't think my PR application is approved yet.
Finally, I got my card on the mailbox today... I live in Toronto, Canada and took 3 days to deliver my card.
After 3 months, I got my card.
For anyone who will resubmit the photos or still waiting and worry, everything will be okay and you will get your cards soon.
Here is 2 things I want to note to anyone.
1. Take your photos at right place. For anyone who lives in West of Toronto, I & my friend took the photos in a store (at corner Bloor & Euclid Ave, there is only one Passport photo at that corner and took by a Korean guys. He knows what he is doing and do it right).
2. Make sure you write at the back of photos your Full name (exactly the name from your passport), and Date of Birth... And please make sure give 2 photos when you landing. Mine and one of my friend gave 2, but the lady got 1 and gave back 1, and both of us had to resubmit photos again...So make sure to ask that lady if you have to submit 2 of them.
I hope you guys who are still waiting will get the cards soon. This forum is very helpful and great to be one of the members here.
