Many Congratulations!!!!

Please can you copy here the status of your linked application in your GC key account? I am actually relying on the IVR to check my status as there is no way i can link my application. Want to know what it reads when application is approved.

Thanks and please post here when you receive your card too.
Brilirant congratz ...

PR Card: Finally waiting !

139 days from landing to PR Card approved....

Congratulations & sad for us that they are still on october :(

On papers yes.. and trust me i was all in for this.. but due to some circumstances i had to travel,

Now its ur luck, suppose during landing if cbsa puts seal on all ur old visas yes they are cancelled but if not they are not.

Search on this forum many people have used old valid visas which were not physically cancelled used it. I took risk and used and it works.

But i don suggest to do it until its emergency and u have no other way.

I took risk worked out and even cbsa officers accept, bec if u r resident by law they have to admit u in.

This is not the case with etas though

Do the officers ask you why you used a previous visa to enter?

Today I saw that the time processing for PR is changed to 45 days, based on that logic, if they take 45 days to process a PR ( without pictures retake ) , they should do the same time for retake pictures since the reception of the new pictures.

To be frank and even if read cbsa law... it headache of airline to check ur flyin document... and once landed cbsa has to admit u being a resident..

Hi Folks,
Following are my timelines:
Soft landing: Dec 9th 2018 at Arch peach border at Surrey/Vancouver
Ghost update: Jan 17th 2019
Approved for me: Jan 18th 2019
Delivered: Should be in my mailbox or will arrive sometime this week

Photo request for spouse: Jan 23rd 2019
We got photos done from same place - Walgreens. My photo got accepted but my wife's photo got rejected.

Can you please suggest, what should I do to make sure photo don't get rejected this time? I am thinking to show photo specification paper to photographer. However, I did that last time as well and still photo got rejected. Please suggest.

My theory....given the very apparent randomness in accepting or rejecting photos: could be the software they use to design the cards or size the photos that simply for some reason rejects the pics...and given the high volume of applications they don't have checks in place or alternate processing (as they need to get on to the other cards waiting in question) so it's just rejected (?)
Another possibility is that the photos get damaged somehow before or during card processing (?)

They MUST realize that the number of photo requests is HUGE...can not be the applicants fault... simply doesn't make sense...and ultimately it's increasing thier own workload..
